Pour one of the little Chessex boxes of 36 six-sided dice in the middle of the table to make the pool.
On each player’s turn, they pick two dice from the pool and roll them. If they crap out by throwing a total of seven, their turn is over and no points are banked. Otherwise, the player chooses one of the two dice they rolled to return to the pool. If the die they did not return makes craps with any of the dice they have previously banked, then their turn is also over and this is craps. Otherwise, add the single die to their banked points.
The player may choose to throw two new dice from the pool, again. Repeat to press-your-luck.
When the pool is down to one die, the game ends and the player with the most total pips in front of them wins.
You can also bet the (pass) line on another player’s turn, by putting your fist down on the table visibly before their first throw. If the player craps out, the side-better loses a die of their choice from their banked pool. Otherwise, the side-bettor takes a die from the pool, throws it, and adds it to their bank. Do not check for craps on the existing pool with the side bet.
